Your files never leave your device. Every tool runs entirely in your browser, so your documents are processed locally and are never uploaded to a server or seen by anyone.
Do I need to create an account or sign up?
No. pdfcdf works instantly with no sign-up, no email, and no software to install — just open the tool and go.
Does it work on mobile phones and tablets?
Yes. pdfcdf runs in any modern browser on phones, tablets, Mac, Windows and Linux — nothing to download.
What file types can I use?
PDF for the PDF tools, plus JPG, PNG, WEBP and GIF for image tools. OCR works on scanned images and image-only PDFs.
Is there a file size or usage limit?
No usage limits and no hard file-size cap — since everything runs on your device, the practical limit is your browser and hardware. There are no watermarks either.
Do you store or see my documents?
Never. Your files are opened and processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to a server. We can't see them, and nothing is stored.
Can I use pdfcdf offline?
You need internet to load the site the first time. The actual processing then happens locally. Full offline support is on the roadmap.
Is pdfcdf open source under the hood?
The tools are built on trusted open-source libraries like pdf-lib and pdf.js, running client-side in your browser.
